My name is Rebecca Grande and I live in the neighborhood adjacent to Hood College on 7th St. and Magnolia Ave. Will there be or has there been any discussion about students and people in the neighborhood crossing the street at this intersection and what could be done to make it safer? There is no crosswalk, but people often cross there regardless. I have witnessed several dangerous instances of people almost getting run over and am wondering about the possibility of getting a pedestrian crosswalk painted there. I understand it may slow down traffic on the street and that there are crosswalks at the traffic lights, but the reality is that pedestrians cross from Magnolia Ave. at 7th St. to get to that shopping center, and the situation is unsafe as it stands. We need a crosswalk there.
